What should you do if your microphone is crackling when you speak?

Ignoring the crackle, or simply turning up the volume or replacing the mic without diagnosing the issue, won’t fix the underlying problem and can make it worse.

Ignore crackling and continue speaking.

Replace the microphone with a new one without diagnosis.

Turn up the volume until it sounds acceptable.
